Zepp Oberpichler reads from his new book "Sounds of Ruhrgebiet". He will be accompanied by a Bottrop original: Crocker, bass player of the punk institution "Upright Citizens", which is known beyond the borders of the state.
Questions upon questions will be the focus of this evening.
Will there also be live music? What you can count on !!!
After the event, we invite you to end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere: Chat with like-minded people, enjoy a cold beer and party on to the best punk rock songs from the band.
To the book "Sounds of Ruhrgebiet":
Ruhrgebiet goes Rock? For decades, there have been numerous bands and musicians in the Ruhr region, some of whom are or have been nationally and even internationally renowned. There are successful artists who pursue different styles and directions. Zepp Oberpichler spoke to some of them about their beginnings, the scene, ties to the region, opportunities and problems. The result is a series of conversations that reveal what you won't find in any music magazine and yet provide a picture of the cultural landscape of the Ruhr region.
We spoke with:
Stefan Stoppok, Stefan Kleinkrieg (Extrabreit), Peter Bursch (Bröselmaschine), Christiane Schaefer-Winkelmann (Film: Punk in Duisburg), Crocker (Upright Citizens), Wulf Schneider (The Zarths), Stefan Josefus (Franz K.), Tommy Finke, August Koslowski (Herne 3) and Willi Wucher (Becks Pistols)
Zepp Oberpichler is an author, musician, podcaster and record dealer from the Ruhr area.
With numerous never before published photos!
