Purpose / Westwind Festival

In the organizer's words:

People move for a reason. Does this also apply to pausing? If so, why don't we stop for a while? There must be things that we have not yet seen in familiar places. "Purpose" invites you to think about what "pause" means in your life. An actor and four dancers lead the audience into moments of "pause" through dynamic and diverse movements from street dance, contemporary dance and parkour.

As a site-specific work, "Purpose" is adapted to the space in front of the Central. The interaction of the performers with their surroundings and the audience changes the perception of the location. "Purpose" offers a new perspective on public spaces and our daily lives.

Since its foundation in 2020, the artists of Letitle have been involved in various art communities, such as street arts. Based on diverse artistic languages, such as urban dance, contemporary dance, physical theater, capoeira and parkour, they develop the foundation of their unique genre language. Letitle aims to discover the extraordinary in the ordinary. In public spaces such as city centers, squares and parks and within the boundaries of different genres, the artists search for the cracks and illuminate their significance.
