Slow Club Freiburg presents: PUTAN CLUB
A Wednesday evening, a show in an intimate club atmosphere.
But not just any club, we were lucky enough to catch the attention of the exceptional Italian/French duo "PUTAN CLUB" and get a date on their big European tour.
Voices, guitars, bass and computers.
PUTAN CLUB stands for feminism, electricity, electronics & wildness - as if Jeff Mills and Nine Inch Nails were to unite: groove and high voltage. Trance, dance and challenge.
PUTAN CLUB describes its music as
*TransgenderElectronicIndustrialAvantRockEthnoTechnoWorld-Sauvagerie*
and thus pursues the most daring conceptualism:
From avant-rock to contemporary classical music to harder techno/house.
Iconoclastic, powerful, groovy and decidedly feminist-revolutionary!
The PUTAN PLUB is conceived as a cell of resistance.
And this resistance is organized through the archaic and immediate means of our century:
electric voices and rumors, tanks and counted words. From cave painting to the boldest conceptualism, from avant-rock to contemporary music.
From classical music to brutal techno/house.
From a kiss on the mouth to a kick in the ass.
The British "Music & Riots Magazine" writes:
"Every Putan Club is a slap in the face to modern music and its industry. They're defiant, not because it's cool to be, but because that's what they are at their core: Nonconformists! "Defiance, that's Putan Club."
And it has proven it, from Laâyoune to Beijing.
After all, PUTAN CLUB regularly works with other demons such as Lydia Lunch, Eugene S. Robinson and Denis Lavant.
"Every Putan Club concert is a kick in the face to modern music and its industry."
