Charis’ music is an invitation to a place of crackling hi-hats, fitting use of repetitive loops and smooth flows to transport the crowd into a state of an emotional and meditative atmosphere. Dubby sounds progressing into deep vibes, being followed by an ambient feel, the music is never losing touch with the dynamic approach of the set. The beats never aim to push, instead they are flowing steadily, much like a captivating contest of bass and reverb. Charis enjoys experimenting with different sounds, always striving to craft a rich and immersive musical journey. The energy is what matters most, the sounds and rhythms used want to create a surface for the listener, an open space where the beats run like water down a stream, yet keep up a deep groove in the melodic soundscape. This is what Charis likes to call “emotional dance music”. Now based in Hanover, Charis is a member of Qenem, an organization that empowers and connects FLINTA* DJs and producers, emphasizing the importance of diversity and enrichment in the music scene. Last year, Charis formed the collective "Bunte Tüte," which organizes events at various kiosks across the city. These gatherings bring the neighborhood together and always have the vibrant energy of a small street festival.
