Don't be silly ... they said. That was in 1992 and Thomas Hermanns not only laid the foundations for stand-up comedy in Germany, but also opened his first Quatsch Comedy Club in Hamburg. Ten years later, when the second club was opened in Berlin, it became clear that this could become something big. As the "mother of German stand-up comedy", Thomas Hermanns laid the foundations for many great comedians. Whether Carolin Kebekus, Ilka Bessin or Lisa Feller, whether Bülent Ceylan, Johann König or Felix Lohbrecht - they all have one thing in common: they were either in front of the Q in the Quatsch Comedy Club or on the TV shows.
