How did you react when you were hurt...? Qué importa el abismo raises questions about wounds we have suffered. The scars on the body or in the soul represent the legacy that we carry from the present into the future.

Inspired by the poem of the same name by Josune de Goñi, Estelle Foli explores the boundaries of physical and emotional perception. The piece is part of the multidisciplinary project series She Poems, which has brought together 40 artists from 15 countries to date.

En collaboration avec des performeuses de différents pays africains et sur la base de poèmes d'auteures féminines, A. Dïaz développe des performances de danse, des courts-métrages et des séries de photos qui remettent en question les récits courants et attirent l'attention sur le potentiel créatif d'une jeune génération d'artistes africain(e)s.

The works of She Poems have been produced or presented in more than 30 countries in Europe, Latin America and Africa. From diverse personal and cultural contexts, the artists of She Po ems transform selected poems into intimate, physical or audiovisual formal languages. She Poems questions the stereotypes that the Western world imposes on Black African female bodies and opens up paths for more differentiated perspectives. Aïda Colmenero Dïaz, born in Madrid, is an award-winning choreographer, actress, filmmaker, mentor and curator.
