Being queer and a believer, (how) is that possible?
In this workshop, we want to meet as queer people and share our experiences as members of different religious communities and faiths.

We want to hear personal stories about relationships to faith, far away from dogmatism and proselytizing.

The workshop is about sharing queer perspectives on religion and faith and seeing and supporting each other in our often complicated faith journeys.

Location: Rubicon, Rubensstraße 8-10, 50676 Cologne
Time: Saturday, 29.03.2025 from 17-20 o'clock

(Shabbat until 19:50, Ramadan: Iftar 19:06)
With vegan/halal/kosher snacks and water.

Emotional safety: We know that past injuries and traumas can also play a role in this topic. That is why there is a trained awareness team on site and we also ask you to take good care of yourself. All exchanges and methods are voluntary: you can retreat to our quiet room on your own at any time.

Positionality of the speakers: PoC*, white, queer, genderfluid, non-binary, trans*, cis, female, male, neurodiverse, abled, Buddhist, Christian, pastor, agnostic, non-denominational.

We try to consider the perspectives of non-represented faiths and how knowledge is (re)produced. We see ourselves as learners, want to constantly reflect on our own privileges and take any criticism in this regard seriously.
