In the organizer's words:

Are you open to queer issues but feel that they don't directly affect you?

Are you unsure how to deal with queer people in your private or professional life?

Would you like to learn more about queer realities in general and how you can promote respectful, empathetic interaction? In this interactive one-day workshop, we will combine the most important terms of the queer spectrum with the basic attitude of non-violent communication.

Not only will you learn more about queer people and their needs, but you will also learn how to communicate with queer people in an empathetic, respectful and understanding way.

• Interactive exercises and personal stories: Empathy and understanding for queer needs

• You will understand queer people and their realities better and approach them with more empathy and respect.
• You will be able to explain queer terms to others in an understandable way and have a respectful conversation.
• You will reduce your own fears and insecurities when dealing with queer people and see the diversity of queer perspectives as an enrichment.
• You will be able to communicate confidently and compassionately with queer people - both in a private and professional context.

About the speakers:

Ela and Susanne are themselves part of the queer community and trainers for queerness and non-violent communication. With their expertise and personal experience, they want to contribute to more openness and understanding. It is particularly important to them to let you experience first-hand that queer needs are nothing other than ... deeply human needs.
