18-year-old Wellington had imagined his release from juvenile detention center differently. Without family and shelter, he suddenly finds himself alone, as his relatives have broken off contact during his two-year sentence and moved house. He meets Ronaldo, a 42-year-old sex worker, in a porn movie theater, who helps him. Wellington adopts the name Baby and takes his first steps in the red-light district of Brazil's largest city, which complicates his friendship with Ronaldo.
