Quo Vadis Rojava?

On the situation of democratic self-government in northern and eastern Syria after the fall of Assad

Events in Syria are coming thick and fast. After Islamist militias supported by Turkey were able to topple the Assad regime without much resistance within just a few days, the situation in the whole of Syria is changing fundamentally. We are currently witnessing the reorganization of the Middle East, in which the occupying powers Turkey and Israel appear to be the winners. The democratic self-administration in northern and eastern Syria - also known as Rojava - is massively affected by the changes. It is being attacked from the ground and from the air by Turkey and the militias it supports, the so-called Syrian National Army. Erdoğan's goal is to destroy all Kurdish self-administration and autonomy. Together we want to discuss the new balance of power, the threat to the Rojava revolution and options for action.
