But none really succeeded until Randy Hansen came along in the 80s. Surprisingly, he is actually able to recreate Jimi's original guitar sounds amazingly accurately. But that's not all: when he sings, you think you can hear Jimi's voice. Randy Hansen's various tours with the original musicians of the Jimi Hendrix Experience and the Band of Gypsies have reinforced this "aural revival". Randy Hansen has "studied" Jimi Hendrix down to the last detail, so to speak. It is not for nothing that music critics and magazines around the world have dubbed him the reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix. The bundle of energy sweeps across the stage like a dervish and captivates the audience with his "weapon-like sound".
