Hanna, Zeyna and Cem have been friends for a long time - in a world that is coming apart at the seams. In the late 1980s, they grow up together in a workers' housing estate in the Ruhr area. They are inseparable, but the older they get, the clearer the differences between them become. Their bond is finally put to the test on September 11, 2001, when they break up. Years later, Hanna returns to her old home and embarks on a search - for Zeyna and what came between them back then.
