Based on the book of the same name by André Aciman, director Luca Guadagnino tells a sensual story about growing up:

It's a shimmering hot summer in 1983, and a 17th century villa stands between sun-soaked orchards and a natural stone pool. Elio Perlman (Timothée Chalamet), a precocious 17-year-old young man, spends his vacation transcribing and playing classical music, reading and flirting with his girlfriend Marzia (Esther Garrel).

When 24-year-old American doctoral student Oliver (Armie Hammer) moves into the villa for a six-week summer internship, a cautious awakening of passionate love begins. Despite all the uncertainties and conventions, Oliver and Elio experience a summer that will change their lives forever.

"Call Me by Your Name" is a poetic journey through the heart of youth, a cinematic poem about desire, longing and the bittersweet process of growing up. With impressive sensitivity and visual elegance, Luca Guadagnino stages a touching love story full of first times, which he contrasts with the fleetingness of the moment.
