"Always. All the time." Woyzeck has to go to the captain, to the doctor, to the barracks. Every day. And then there's Marie. But no matter what Woyzeck does - it will never be enough. But there are always voices in Woyzeck's head telling him to do completely different things. Right up to murder: "Man is an abyss." So is society, as Büchner depicts it in his expressive drama.
