(Re-)Cycle

In the organizer's words:

As part of the development laboratory for local plastic recycling, which is part of the exhibition, we are devoting ourselves to the topics of sustainable recycling and the conscious use of plastic in open workshop formats. In this way, we are exploring concrete options for action for a healthy environment.

We often buy far more than we need and use many things only briefly before throwing them away again. This creates a lot of waste. In this workshop, we will try out together what can be created from this supposed "waste" and how this can be done.

The project raises awareness of the importance of raw material cycles, the diversity, variety and sometimes unnecessary amount of packaging waste in an interactive and playfully challenging way and goes hand in hand with a critical reflection on our own fast-paced and affect-driven consumer behavior. "Protopically" - stimulating agency, attitude-finding processes and active shaping of the future - the strategies for a responsible and ecologically sustainable use of plastic are explored.
