Book launch & atmosphere with Timon Krause and Ben J. Riepe

The well-known TV philosopher, mentalist and author Timon Krause is a guest at the School of Experience 2025. Together with Ben J. Riepe, he is developing an intimate format for this special setting that combines a book presentation, artistic-scientific input, exchange and stage show, in which he explores the question of the reality of tomorrow.

Based on the four cultures of thought of the future, Timon Krause and Ben J. Riepe will stage metamodernism: starting from Timon Krause's book, the complexity of the world will be embraced and new ways of thinking for the future between psychology, philosophy and sociology will be tested.

This event is part of the school of experience "What about Reality?"

In May 2025, choreographer and artist Ben J. Riepe and his team invite you to the third edition of the "School of Experience", a mediation format for students from different departments at various NRW universities and an interested public. Under the title "What about Reality?", this year's edition is dedicated to virulent questions about the reality and relevance of our physical live experiences in times of polycrisis. In an interplay of different disciplines, event formats and workshops, the space for reflection on contemporary (performance) art will be expanded and not just an intellectual approach, but a comprehensive, personal experience will be trained that focuses equally on a cognitive and physical-sensory understanding.
