Concert with sound machines: RITSCH RATSCH KLICK KLACK
With all children and Thomas Keiser, artist, Felix Fisgus, programmer
For three days, under the guidance of the two artists Thomas Keiser and Felix Fisgus, children in the workshop made, glued and tried out crazy sound machines from everyday objects (old toys, empty cans, Christmas decorations, cardboard) and brought them to life by connecting them to motors, electrical circuits and microcontrollers so that they produce sounds.
Together they have fun finding interesting sounds, experimenting with materials and technology, rhythm, programming and building strange little machines.
These machines will now be given their own concert and brought to life.
Come and see - it will be colorful!
The old sound machine from 2023 will also be playing!

Who doesn't dream of being given a second life? To be able to relive the events of your life?
What if it were all an illusion when in reality it is an experience that has not been lived?
The dance performance takes you into a parallel world for just under ten minutes.

Fairytale concert: Dulcinea (UA)
with Christian Bergmann, narrator + production
Lynda Cortes, cello + loop
A. M. Fischer, author
The peasant girl "Dulcinea" is known as the muse of Don Quixote. The knight of the sad figure adored her, although they never spoke a word to each other. In fact, the self-proclaimed knight really got on the girl's nerves. In this children's concert, she finally has her say and sets the story straight.
The peasant girl grows up in humble circumstances and has to help out on the farm from an early age. During her hard work, she dreams and sings about stories. She grows up to be an imaginative young woman. Then one day, the strange knight in the distance suddenly declares her his muse, henceforth calling her "Dulcinea", the sweet one, and dedicates all his deeds to her.
But the girl, whose real name is Aldonza and who knows how to work, wants to be anything but "sweet". She sets off in search of the knight to confront him and ultimately finds her own happiness, completely independent of knights, adventurers or battles with windmills.
There is singing, storytelling, acting and dancing.
Musical fairytale fun for people aged 5 and over.
15:00 Gate 40 at the goods station
Let' Play - Totally Made Up Orchestra
with Smusic21 and the Totally Made Up Orchestra
Claudia Janet Birkholz, composer
Maurice Oeser, SWR Experimental Studio
Youth ensemble Smusic 21, directed by Dalton Harris
Audience with mobile and smartphones (cell phones)
Our world, our bubble - what is real and what is fake?
We all live in different "bubbles": the everyday world - the normal madness, everything tangible, real and sometimes just chaotic.
The social media bubble. Insta, TikTok and co. are all about style, beauty and trends. What's hot? Influencers show us how to dress, put on make-up and what we need to say to fit in. But is it all real - or just an illusion?
What happens when we look out of our bubble? The universe shines far above us. Light reaches us from a galaxy that is 4.6 billion years old. But is this reality at all? Or just an echo from the past?
What does all this have to do with music?
Composer Claudia Janet Birkholz has developed a work that asks precisely these questions - with a mixture of music, technology and audience participation!
Together with the youth ensemble Smusic21 (director: Dalton Harris), the piece will be performed live on stage. And the audience is an important part of it: with their cell phones, they become part of a real cell phone orchestra and help shape the performance.
The electronics for this piece were developed by Maurice Oeser from SWR's Experimental Studio together with the composer!
Join us and experience a musical journey between reality, illusion and the depths of the universe. For everyone - with or without musical experience, young or old.
For everyone who wants to take part, young and old, musicians or non-musicians.
