Red Wing is a real jewel of the Dutch jazz scene. The sextet around banjo player and bandleader Tom Stuip loves the traditional New Orleans sound - but interprets it with an energy and joy of playing that immediately catches your ear and gets you moving.

Whether classic jazz, tangos, rumbas, waltzes, marches or ragtime - Red Wing effortlessly combines these styles to create a unique sound that is sometimes upbeat, sometimes dreamy, but always direct and unpretentious. The musicians deliberately rely on acoustic instruments and a natural sound - pure, lively and close to the audience.
