The Regensburg Christmas market is rightly considered one of the most beautiful Advent markets in Germany and was voted the most popular in Bavaria in a Facebook survey. Its tradition dates back to the 18th century. Today, you can find a successful mix of craft market and meeting place for young and old in the run-up to Christmas. Culinary tip: Regional specialties such as blueberry mulled wine from the Bavarian Forest or apple mulled wine from orchards in the Upper Palatinate are just as popular as the "Original Regensburger Bratwürste" or the "Regensburger" from the grill.
Children's Day:
Every Wednesday is Children's Day. St. Nicholas gives presents to all children who come to the Christmas market at 2 pm and 4 pm. Santa Claus will also appear on St. Nicholas Day, December 6, 2024, at the times mentioned.
Rides on the carousel are available at reduced prices on the children's days.
Program:
In keeping with tradition, various music groups will once again offer a contemplative program on stage this year, especially on Fridays and Saturdays in the late afternoon hours, to get you in the mood for the Christmas season and ensure atmospheric evenings.
