Lima in the summer of 1992: Elena and her girls Lucia and Aurora are preparing to leave Peru, where social and political unrest is spreading, for the USA. The three of them look forward to their departure with conflicting feelings - from their country, from their family and friends and from Carlos, their father and ex-husband. He, a charming aerial bus, has hardly been seen for a long time.

In REINAS, Aurora and Lucía leave the land of their childhood, but also of their innocence. After this last summer in Lima, they are able to understand the past of their father and their family, which has eluded them until now, and thus reassemble their own story. In a maelstrom of feelings, emotions, frustrations and fears, mixed with elation and expectation, the two sisters and their parents inevitably have to come to terms with the losses that this departure entails.
