The guest this time is Düsseldorf drag queen Loreley Rivers. Emerging in the 1990s from the desire for self-determination and freedom, drag is now a globally widespread art form that literally offers the possibility of an individual, self-determined identity with stage potential "in disguise". And this is where drag and opera meet at eye level: slipping into characters, regardless of their nature or gender, creating an illusion - with character - can be found in every opera role, but also in many art songs and chansons. Together with members of the ensemble, Loreley Rivers will perform in song, costume and conversation.
