The uncompromising voices of the protagonists combine in de la Cerda's fascinating debut to create a wild, multi-layered, tender portrait of Mexican society from a female perspective.

Between the sections of the reading, the artists enter into conversation about a phenomenon that also plays a recurring role in "Reservoir Bitches": How do female artists process the disappearance of hundreds of thousands of their compatriots in their works? And how does a society deal with this?
