rEVOLUTION

In the organizer's words:

rEVOLUTION is a strange, evocative and always poetic concert performance. It is the result of teamwork between the musical "world builders" of INTERSTELLAR 2 2 7, the scenographer Norbert van Ackeren and the cultural scientist Alexander Kleinschrodt.

The meeting of voices, circuits, a steel string stretched through the space, atmospheres and costumes as well as what is expressed and what remains open have resulted in changes and unpredictable development processes: rEVOLUTION strikes sparks from evolutionary biology and astrophysics, with which the creative process of interdisciplinary collaboration is fueled and illuminated.

The whole thing oscillates between choreographed concert and experimental music theater, between improvisation and composition. Acoustic and electronic soundscapes intermingle, Barbara Schachtner with her multifaceted voice and electronics, Dorrit Bauerecker with fine accordion and quirky keyboard sounds.

The stage production also incorporates the experience gained from several "insights into the laboratory", in which the team discussed the intermediate stations they had reached with a courageous test audience. Now the interstellar journey continues, because cooperation - according to sociologist Richard Sennett - is in our genes, but it "must be developed and deepened".
