Berlin-Weißensee was once the pulsating center of the German film industry. The new revue series "Die Filmstadt Weißensee" revives memories of the golden age of silent film.

The evening will be hosted by Arne Krasting . Born in Hamburg, he has made a name for himself as a creative mediator of historical themes with his agency "Zeitreisen" and has designed the official tours for the series Babylon Berlin, including occasional guest appearances. Together with Else Edelstahl, he runs the successful podcast Goldstaub, which brings the diversity of the Weimar Republic to life.

The Swingin' Hermlins provide the rousing sound of the 1920s.
The international Swing Dance Orchestra under the direction of Andrej Hermlin brings the authentic sound of the 1920s and 1930s to the stage, down to the smallest detail. With its own arrangements, historical costumes and worldwide tours, the Berlin formation is one of the most important swing orchestras of the present day.

The Berlin Show Dancers bring the dance of the 20s back into the limelight.
They dance Charleston, Lindy Hop and perform choreographies typical of the era. The show dance company wows the audience with their elaborate costumes, great passion and creativity.

The improvisers perform live to legendary film scenes from Weißensee. Be there when a piece is created that has never been rehearsed in this way and will never be seen again. "The Improvisionäre are the funniest, most original, most unique and most modest improv theater group in the world!"
