Rheinische Lesebücher: Renate Neumann und Kajo Scholz

Renate Neumann and Kajo Schulz are among the authors who have been unjustly forgotten. Renate Neumann (1954-1994) died young in a brutal murder, and Kajo Scholz (1953-2008) also died young. Both authors lived and worked in Düsseldorf for a long time. Despite their high literary quality, both published very little during their lifetimes.

So there is something to discover: since 2008, Walter Gödden and Enno Stahl have been publishing reading books by Rhenish authors who have not received the recognition they deserve in the Düsseldorf publishing house Edition Virgines. Volumes 19 and 20 on Renate Neumann and Kajo Scholz have recently been published.

The editors of the reading books, the Wuppertal academic Lennart Rouxel (Renate Neumann) and Enno Stahl, a member of staff at the Heinrich Heine Institute, (Kajo Scholz) will present the volumes with relevant text excerpts and will be available to answer questions.
