Carsten "Erobique" Meyer has long since created his own genre. Disco revivals have passed him by for over 30 years, but he remains untouched by short-lived trends. Instead of submitting to the aesthetics of perfected club music, he celebrates the spontaneous, the raw, the unfiltered. When his name pops up in the city, dance-loving people between 18 and 80 know they are in for a night of ecstasy, improvisation and musical madness.

As Germany's self-proclaimed last disco punk, he defies conventional DJ conventions. While clubs are dominated by seamless laptop mixes, he focuses on unpredictability. The "living disco ball" (FAZ) fills the room with driving disco grooves, complemented by spontaneous ballads and unexpected classics that could have come from weddings or smoky cellars. No two evenings are the same, because with Erobique the moment rules.

His releases are rare. Labels such as Asexy Records, Acid Jazz and Deck 8 carry his few studio recordings, but only a fraction of what makes up his sound has been recorded. Songs like "Urlaub in Italien", "Easy Mobeasy" or "Ravedave" only unfold their true magic live. It's not about sterile perfection, but about the fire of the moment.

Following his own rules, he creates new worlds of sound from 60 years of dance music history. Funk, soul, Italo disco and electronic excesses merge into an unpredictable spectacle. One moment the hall is transformed into a sweat-inducing dance marathon, the next an unexpected piano ballad resounds in the room. Nostalgia meets anarchy, disco meets punk, kitsch meets genius.

What remains is a night danced through, a frenzy of music, energy and euphoria.
