roboTICKS

17:00 -17:20

"At bottom, robotics is about us. It is the discipline of emulating our lives, of wondering how we work." (Rod Grupen)
"I'm almost a day old now. Yesterday I arrived... I feel it... I am an experiment, I feel myself an experiment..." (Mark Twain)

A human and his robotic double meet. The uncanny valley emerges as a concrete place on the stage. Man and machine meet and begin their strange game with each other. Disturbed and fascinated by his double at the same time, the human dares to take a look behind the mirror, at the back of himself, in order to learn to be creeped out by the sight of his shadow, his other self, his dark twin. Soon he is no longer sure which of the two is the experiment...
