Summer '86, a young man travels to Hamburg to be there. He is 19, wants to make music and celebrate his youth, be an artist.

He is drawn to Sankt Pauli, the fixed star of the crazies. He wants to enter the abyss, "where humidity and dark warmth make strange organisms dance". He meets the Zitronen, the Ärzte, the Hosen, the Neubauten - and searches for his own place in this world. The first thing he needs is a new name: Rocko Schamoni.

Pudel's Core takes us back to the years of Hamburg punk and underground, to the basement nights, the broken tour bus and the big record deal. To the hopes and crashes. It is a glowing portrait of the artist as a young man: "Nothing has meaning anymore, everything flows, we are jellyfish of love." But above all, it is a story about illusions, aberrations and, ultimately, self-discovery. And it is a book about the poodle. Whichever one.

Born in Schleswig Holstein, works for theater, film and television, tours regularly throughout Germany and has a dedicated fan base as a musician, author, humorist, actor and so on. His first LP "Vision". Rocko Schamoni has staged several Studio Braun plays with Jacques Palminger and Heinz Strunk, including "Dorfpunks", "Fleisch ist mein Gemüse", "Matthias Rust", "Fahr zur Hölle Ingo Sachs", "Fraktus", "Der Goldene Handschuh" and most recently "Coolhaze".

In November 2012, the Studio Braun film "Fraktus" was released in cinemas. In 2012, he made the film "00 Schneider - Im Wendekreis der Eidechse" with Helge Schneider. He is also involved in the free TV series KBV (Keine besonderen Vorkomnisse) and created the podcast "Auf der Bahn" with Gereon Klug.
