In the organizer's words:

erWACHen connects two poles in Karlheinz Stockhausen's universe: the experimental phase of the late sixties and the contemplative late work. What both have in common is an intensive exploration of understanding: in the polyphonic interaction of very different musical thoughts and speeds in the trio ERWACHEN, and in the joint search for vibrating mutual resonances in a nocturnal forest full of secret wishes and dialogs in WACH, from the text collection "Für kommende Zeiten".
