On the natural stage of the Orangerie Theater

Ronja is born on a stormy night. Her parents, Mattis and Lovis, and the entire band of robbers are bursting with joy. At the same time, a child is born in the camp of the hostile Borka gang: Birk.

Ten years later, the rift between the two robber families is deeper than ever. But while the adults remain at loggerheads, Ronja and Birk discover a quiet, strong friendship during their secret forays through the forest - and their spring cry is heard.

After The Neverending Story, Momo and Lotta Can Do Almost Anything, "Ronja Robber's Daughter" is the fourth joint production by the directing duo Erfort & Kraiss. Once again, nature becomes a creative force in the production, and the open-air stage at the Orangerie Theater provides the ideal backdrop for gray gnomes, wild druids, bald peers - and for the touching friendship between Ronja and Birk.

Erfort & Kraiss boldly and imaginatively bring the classic to the stage with just two actors. Artist Lioba Wagner creates an impressive art installation that brings Astrid Lindgren's imaginative world to life. Pianist Daniel Sojunow accompanies the production live and lends it additional depth and atmosphere with his music.
