It was a warm evening in May: something unexpectedly changes in the life of almost 50-year-old Rose when she meets Luc, who is about the same age. She has been through a divorce, raised two grown-up children, had a few dates that didn't work out, and so she lives her life independently with her routines, the usual drinks in the pub and her best friend Marie-Jeanne. She has learned from a number of bad experiences to always carry a revolver with her. When Luc enters her life, a new chapter seems to have been opened that promises many positive things. But little by little, old patterns catch up with her, cracks appear in the beautiful picture, the unexpected happiness casts dark shadows and Rose senses that she must make decisions if her life is to remain hers.
