Poetry slam, the modern poetry competition, is the most popular cabaret in Germany. In Stuttgart, poetry slam is better assimilated than the Kehrwoche and more popular than photos from the Schlossplatz. Writers of all kinds meet on stage and perform their self-penned pieces. The lovingly selected line up presents a brilliant smorgasbord of the varieties of poetry slam: poetry, rap, cabaret, story telling, beatbox, comedy and spoken word.

For over 20 years, everything that is possible with words has taken place on the Rosenau Slam stage. The audience decides who wins. In order to convince the audience, the German-speaking stars of the scene, the literary debutants and after-work poets, have seven minutes at their disposal.
