International Rotary Big Band

In the organizer's words:

The International Rotary Bigband is part of the international Rotary Fellowship. The band supports Rotary clubs in organizing stylish charity concerts and thus promoting charitable projects. Five years ago, the Rotary Bigband celebrated its premiere on the occasion of the World Convention in Hamburg! As artistic director, the renowned Mannheim jazz trumpeter Thomas Siffling has turned the 20-strong international group into an ensemble that plays big band jazz at its best. Other professionals are regularly on board: in Hamburg, in addition to the charismatic trombonist Bernhard Vanecek, our Rotarian friend Fiete Felsch, lead alto saxophonist of the NDR Big Band, will support the band as a special guest. Nicole Metzger, the grande dame of German jazz singers, will enchant us all with her vocals.
