KALAMATA are an instrumental trio from Hildesheim who have dedicated themselves to the intersection of stoner/psychedelic and progressive rock. Since their formation in 2014, the band can look back on considerable success far beyond Germany's borders. Tours and festival appearances through the Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, the Netherlands, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Austria, Slovakia and Germany with acts such as Radio Moscow, Ufomammut, ROTOR, Samsara Blues Experiment, 1000mods etc. have allowed them to mature into an energetic rock monster. Their shows are emotionally moving, sometimes dreamy, sometimes euphoric and always with a good dose of "wall of sound".

Kalamata dare the balancing act between a massive stoner-psych edge and progressive soundscapes. The sound of the instrumental trio is like a journey over gravel roads up into the infinite expanses of the overun. Light, dark. Loud, quiet. Far, near. From the very first run-through, you are guided and never let go. Driven by crashing riffs, thrusting beats and monumental bass lines, they show us the way to where the night is deepest - straight into the devil's asshole.
