Rundgang der KHM 2025: Filme von Studierenden (Filmprogramm 12)

From Thursday to Sunday, the film program at Rundgang 2025 will present a total of 44 films by students of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne (KHM) that have been produced over the past twelve months as part of their studies. Feature films, documentaries, animations, experimental films and hybrid forms of cinematic storytelling will be shown in 13 program blocks in the auditorium of the KHM and in the Filmforum in the Museum Ludwig.

A child's play, the tranquillity of the gardeners and encounters with mountain creatures evoke a strange air of supernatural tenderness. Various cosmic and spiritual forces seem to manifest themselves, revealing a web of loving relationships between the living and the dead.

In the run-up to a German submarine deal, the idealistic director of the Thrypp Group, Ursula, is responsible for welcoming a foreign delegation. But her well-groomed façade is challenged by the charming but troublesome journalist Hannah, who tries to entice her into uncovering a corruption plot.

Day 6545 after the great integration agreement: In the ZENTRUM, a job center sealed off from the outside world, the last "hard workers" worship the great Gerhard Schredder and pray to the holy market while they channel job seekers through a Kafkaesque system. When the work frenzy turns into madness and the employees mutate into monstrous filing creatures, the uprising against a system that has traded humanity for efficiency begins. Based on a theater project by Ensemble2030 with Cologne citizens - recorded live during the performances.

After the screening, the directors, authors and image designers present will talk about the process of creating their films and introduce their film teams in a discussion with the audience.
