Rundgang der KHM: Kurzfilme von Studierenden im Filmforum im Museum Ludwig

The film program at the KHM Rundgang (3 to 7 July) presents a total of 38 current films by students of the Academy of Media Arts Cologne in ten programs in the auditorium and in the Filmforum in the Museum Ludwig.

These are feature films and documentaries, animations, music videos and experimental films of various lengths. They will be shown in ten mixed program blocks in the auditorium of the KHM and in the Filmforum in the Museum Ludwig.
The filmmakers will be present and will give insights into the conception and realization of their films after the screening.

Mila finds herself in a seemingly endlessly repetitive group choreography. Highly motivated, she continues to merge with the group to form a machine. But what happens when one* can no longer do it?

Ida is haunted by the death of her partner Ismail and travels to the place of his disappearance in the hope of being close to him one last time.

The opener of she-dog's debut EP MORE DRAMA i feel ok sinks from the joys of self-determined emotional chaos into an instrumental outburst. In the video she-dog glides back and forth between emotional states, at times drowning in tears, at other times frenzied and electrified.

Anoush was just five years old when her parents fled with her from Iran to Germany. Now she is 16 years old and in the process of finding herself. Her parents, on the other hand, have experienced social decline. Her father Puya is particularly affected by the situation and increasingly falls into silence. A visit from Iran makes him blossom for a brief moment. And Anoush's view of him also changes.

After each film screening, Prof. Melissa de Raaf will hold a short discussion with the filmmakers and their teams.
