White Christmas

If you shine white light through a prism, it suddenly shimmers in all the colors of the rainbow. The Alliage Quintett proves that physics can be so poetic at its Advent concert with Sabine Meyer: because their "White Christmas" is actually made up of all the sound colors you can imagine - four saxophones, a clarinet and a piano, shimmering and shimmering, roaring and humming, surging and rushing, as if you had a whole orchestra in front of you. With their first co-production Fantasia, which has also been recorded on CD, the famous clarinettist and the saxophone quintet have already demonstrated an extraordinarily happy hand for a refined program selection. We can now look forward to a similar explosion of color when the sextet performs Christmas classics such as Engelbert Humpderdinck's Hansel and Gretel and Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker .
