S.A.D. (Secretly A Dinosaur)

In the organizer's words:

The dinosaurs are extinct. This is precisely why they tell us what it means to stick together when the world is coming to an end.

"S.A.D." deals with the themes of friendship and care in the context of personal and global crises: from mental health to social crises. When do we feel like an asteroid is about to hit us? How can we take care of each other then? How can we emancipate ourselves from the feeling of "being hit" - and how can we change the circumstances of our lives so that we "survive"?

The two performers mix live quotes and sound samples - reading and singing texts and songs together. And again and again, they track their body movements and thus "animate" comic sequences in which two dinosaurs talk caringly about their everyday lives.

The mixture of personal voice messages and quotes from pop culture and contemporary history allows them to meet each other on stage in a sincere and honest way. Somewhere between concert, reading and cartoon series, a shared space is created in which exhaustion, care and new beginnings can be experienced.
