Sadie Jean went viral in 2021 with her debut single "WYD Now?" and laid the foundation for her career as a musician. The single has long since been certified gold by the RIAA and has more than 186 million streams on Spotify, where her second single "Locksmith" recently replaced it as the top track with over 188 million streams. With just six singles and one EP released since 2021, Sadie Jean has built up a considerable springboard. Her songs, which she continues to release without a label, feel like the comforting embrace of a good friend, who you get to know better bit by bit through her moving lyrics and catchy arrangements. After her first headline shows, an appearance at Hamburg's Reeperbahn Festival and supports for Johnny Orlando, Cian Ducrot and Rod Wave - who also sampled her debut single on his track "2018" and brought Sadie Jean into the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time - Sadie Jean is coming back to Europe. In November, Sadie Jean will perform her emotional ballads in Berlin, Munich and Cologne.

Sadie Jean began taking piano lessons in the first grade and was soon given singing lessons as well. In addition to her involvement in the local theater, she sang in the school choir, learned to play the guitar and was encouraged by her brother to release her own music. In 2020, Sadie Jean began studying at the Institute of Recorded Music at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. In October 2021, she wrote the song "WYD Now?", which was released in December of that year and became a viral hit on TikTok while the singer was studying for her final papers at New York University. Distracted by the song's sudden success, she quit her studies to focus entirely on music. In 2022, she released her second single "Locksmith", which was also crowned with great success and led to the release of her first EP with the single "Just Because" (2023). After the standalone single "16", Sadie Jean released her debut EP "Simple Like 17" in December 2023 . In addition to her two successful singles, the EP contains five other tracks, of which the pre-release single "Just Because" has long since become the next hit. After the release of a deluxe version of her debut EP in 2024, new material was a long time coming until Sadie Jean released the single "Nice Knowing You" in December 2024. This was followed in April by her current single "The One That I Want (But I Don't Know Why)", which can be seen as a precursor to her first album and hints at the next big step in Sadie Jean's young career.
