On Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 11:11 a.m., the season opening of 1. FC Köln will take place on the stadium forecourt at the RheinEnergieSTADION. The next big music act has now also been confirmed: Mo-Torres will heat up the FC fans on stage. There will also be the opportunity to get up close and personal with the new additions to the male and female professional squad, including at the autograph session, and to secure some special souvenirs. It will once again be a red and white soccer festival full of atmosphere for families and FC fans young and old. Admission is free.

It will never be forgotten when FC was able to play in an international competition for the first time in 25 years in 2017 and the fans sang the song "Effzeh international" by Mo-Torres in the RheinEnergieSTADION. Singer Mo-Torres has been closely associated with FC Köln for a long time and will once again be present at the 2025/26 season opener when the new Bundesliga season officially kicks off for FC.

Autograph session and presentation of the teams

In addition to the performance by Mo-Torres, there will once again be an autograph session and the presentation of our men's and women's Bundesliga teams, as well as talks with the sporting management and the FC Foundation on the new FC Doppelpass, a performance by the FC cheerleaders and plenty of Cologne music. The bands Mätropolis, Fiasko, StadtRand and the Cologne men's choir "Die Grüngürtelrosen", among others, will ensure a great atmosphere.

In the new season partnership "FC-Doppelpass", FC Köln and its foundation are working together with Aktion Mensch to promote inclusion in sport. Under the motto "Together loud for inclusion", the Bundesliga club and the social organization want to create more inclusive sports opportunities during the 2025/2026 season and make inclusion visible and tangible on and off the pitch. This partnership will also be presented jointly on the stage at the season opener.

A strong signal for inclusive cooperation

"Our cooperation is a strong signal: Inclusive togetherness in sport enriches us all! Fans can experience for themselves just how diverse disabled sport can be at the season opener with the rolling sports platform, the "Inclusion Mobile" - for example in blind soccer or wheelchair basketball. Ambassador and Paralympics star Niko Kappel is supporting us," announces Christina Marx, spokesperson for Aktion Mensch.

New this year is the FC Partner Station Run, in which interested FC fans can take part, collect stamps from FC partners and win small prizes. Fans must register in advance for the partner sponsored run and then sign up. The link to the FC partner station run can be found here.

The FC and its partners will also be represented with numerous stands, great activities and modules. So it's worth stopping by every stand! Whether it's the Pänzclub with a bouncy castle and face painting, the soccer school with ball games or the foundation with a new, exciting soccer court - there's a lot on offer at the season opening.
