Heroic on the horn

Start of the season at the Elbphilharmonie! The Orchestre de Paris and the Finnish conductor and composer Esa-Pekka Salonen invite you to a furious start to the season with a large orchestra and an overwhelming program in the Great Hall. In addition to two works by the sound giants Richard Strauss and Jean Sibelius, Salonen presents his brand new horn concerto, which he wrote for Stefan Dohr, principal horn of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
