On this special evening, there are several reasons to celebrate and take notice: The KAP congratulates the Nikolaisaal, its home, on its 25th birthday and at the same time presents the grand inaugural concert of its new Artistic Director François Leleux.

The MAZ (Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung) describes the collaboration between François Leleux and the KAP as a "love match" in which "euphoria and [...] confidence were palpable". With works by trailblazer Joseph Haydn, sound magician Hector Berlioz and Nicolas Bacri, who shapes the music of the present from the past, Leleux kicks off his first season in his new role and invites you to an exciting concert evening that offers a promising glimpse of things to come.

Or, to put it in Leleux's own words: "I love surprises."
