The band "Salingo" takes its audience on a musical journey through the various styles of contemporary Sinti and Roma music with a mix of gipsy swing, South American and Oriental rhythms and ripping classics on the violin from the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Southern Europe. Own interpretations of known and unknown pieces by Vera Bila, Traja Brizani (Amala), Maxime leForestier, Django Reinhardt and many more alternate with Brazilian bossa nova and Cuban son.

Singing in Romani, Portuguese, French and Arabic dialects underlines the cultural diversity in which we live, while atmospheric melodies and energetic climaxes offer a multi-faceted program with plenty of room for improvisation for the virtuoso soloists.
