SALÒ GOES ON BIG "120 YEARS OF LONELINESS" TOUR THROUGH GERMANY IN NOVEMBER 2023

The Austrian musician SALÒ (height: 187 cm, favorite hobby: cell phone, center of life: Vienna) has big plans for 2023: The first own headline tour in Germany in April, which is almost sold out and had to be moved up in several cities. And then the album debut "SUBJEKTIV BETRACHTET", which will be released via MOM I MADE IT (Universal Austria) on May 19.

Due to the great demand SALÒ follows up directly and presents with "120 JAHRE EINSAMKEIT" in November immediately the next headline tour through Germany. "Bigger, More Beautiful, Dirtier" is the motto and also special guests and top-class support acts were not spared.

A pleasing outlook, especially under the aspect that the post post post punk project SALÒ was launched in 2019 and thrown directly at the feet of a global pandemic. SALÒ's songs are sometimes political, sometimes romantic, and often both at once. The sound combines punk and pop and ranges from gruff and angry to sugary and playful, without losing authenticity and identification value. With "SUBJEKTIV BETRACHTET" we are confronted with a meanwhile also sometimes thoughtful SALÒ, who reflects on what he has experienced and lived and addresses and processes topics such as brokenness and the transience of human coexistence.

Despite the pandemic, SALÒ has given over 100 concerts in German-speaking countries in the last 3 years. Highlights include support shows on Edwin Rosen's German tour, Milliarden and with Viagra Boys, appearances at Hamburg's Reeperbahn and Dockville festivals and Vienna's Donauinselfest, as well as an EP release show that made Vienna's B72 explode. The supermarket love anthem "Apollonia Sitzt bei Edeka an der Kassa" featured on the "Rabatt" EP convinced not only celebrities like Felix Kummer, Oli Schulz or Jan Müller from Tocotronic but also a wide listener community beyond Austria's borders. Apollonia has long since cracked half a million streams. New year new luck, SALÒ starts the January 2023 with the single release "ICH GLAUBE NICHT AN DINOSAURIER". Promptly the song about conspiracy theorists shines on the most relevant streaming platform in the New Music Friday playlists (Germany and Switzerland) and can also inspire several German radios to join in (N-Joy, ByteFM, MDR, RBB). There was also a like from Diffus, Kraftklubs Radio with K, Fm4 and many more. Freshly nominated for the Fm4 Award in February, SALÒ might even win the official award of a renowned Austrian music prize this year. It remains eventful.
