With 'Unpop', or unpopular pop music, Salomon has invented his own genre. Humorous lyrics, both self-deprecating and critical of the system, interspersed with melancholy. About growing up in a small town and seeking therapy in the big city, life as a musician in the so-called small art scene and an ever faster changing world.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) wrote: "Irony-free lyrics become catchy anthems for tens of thousands" - about Mark Forster (pop musician). The FAZ wrote nothing about Salomon. Everyone wants to make it big, Salomon is the next little thing.
