A theater project in Neukölln hairdressing salons on the subject of change
In July 2025, the theater collective KoKo will go out into Neukölln's urban space to talk to a wide variety of people:
What should change? What should stay? And what changes are you ready for?
Whether it's global warming, affordable housing or migration issues - there are plenty of local and global challenges that affect society as a whole. Although far-reaching social change in many areas of life is seen as urgently needed both scientifically and politically, it is proving difficult. For many people, the discourse about it is unwieldy, difficult to understand or uncomfortable.
In view of this area of tension, the KoKo theater collective is interested in the question: Do you change your hairstyle first and then your life? What changes have been formative for Neukölln residents in their lives so far? What changes do they currently want to see? And what can help them to live well with the current transformation in our society?
To find answers to these questions, the performance collective KoKo will be going to a place where change is the order of the day in July 2025: The hairdressing salon! In two different hairdressing salons in Neukölln, hairdressers and performers offer an afternoon full of new hairstyles, stories and music.
