Rousing rhythms, earthy sounds and stories from New York in the 70s - the Kulturhaus Schwanen invites you to a salsa night with Caballo Negro, the big salsa orchestra from Stuttgart. Live music, dancing mood and a touch of vacation feeling are guaranteed when the Schwanen-Saal turns into a dance floor.
Salsa without compromise - live, loud and with history
Caballo Negro deliberately avoids electronic sequences and instead relies on pure joy of playing and acoustic power. The large brass section - four trombones plus baritone saxophone - provides the characteristic sound that gets the audience moving from the very first minute. Supported by a grooving rhythm section of timbales, congas, bongos and piano, the result is a sound that could have come straight from the Bronx in the 70s - inspired by salsa greats such as Willie Colón, Héctor Lavoe and Rubén Blades.
Songs with attitude and energy
In their songs, Caballo Negro talk about love, pride, failure and solidarity - powerful themes, packaged in equally powerful music. The two singers Juan-José Morales and José Bustamante shape the band's sound with their voices and stage presence - whether with their own compositions or with reinterpretations of legendary salsa songs.
Clear the dance floor - even for beginners
Those who love salsa will get their money's worth - and even those who don't dance (yet) can look forward to a concert experience that gets into your stomach, legs and heart. Caballo Negro plays for an audience that wants to experience music - dancing or listening. The atmosphere is open, the groove infectious.
