Salvador Sobral

The 35-year-old Portuguese singer, songwriter and musician Salvador Sobral suddenly became known to an audience of millions when he won the Eurovision Song Contest 2017: a great surprise success and yet nothing more than a brief foray into the world of TV spectacle for Sobral and his sister Luisa. Salvador Sobral finally returned to jazz after a dramatic heart transplant with the album "Paris Lisboa", released in 2019. This was followed a year later by "Alma Nuestra", a stroke of genius in terms of interpersonal interaction. Salvador Sobral's last album "BPM" was released in May 2021.

Sobral returned in September 2023 with "TIMBRE", his fourth studio album. The album contains eleven songs, ten of which he wrote himself. He is joined by co-songwriter Leo Aldrey, who is also responsible for the album's production. In the song "al llegar", Salvador Sobral reflects on unfulfilled dreams. In the single "pedra quente" (engl. "hot stone") to summer and its lightness. The song is a hymn to celebration and idleness, an ode to summer and the moments it gives us.
