Two men who can't be pigeonholed on one stage: Miki Kekenj, violinist, composer and singer, invites German rap pioneer and music producer Samy Deluxe on stage with his chamber music "Takeover! Ensemble", Miki Kekenj invites the German rap pioneer and music producer Samy Deluxe on stage. Together, the exceptional artists present a rousing program and break down the boundaries between rap and classical music. Where drums and electric bass usually set the tone, cello and clarinet take over - bringing two apparent opposites together in perfect harmony.

"MIKI's Takeover! Ensemble" translates modern songs into a classical musical language and has already created fine, imaginative arrangements for the music of Joy Denalane, Max Herre and Stefanie Heinzmann. Now it will be interesting to see how the songs by rapper Samy Deluxe from his two "Hochkultur" albums sound in a way never heard before in the classical Takeover arrangements. Classical music language combined with hip-hop is a feast on stage, a major win for both sides and a new insight into the subject of high culture!
