SAN GLASER "BEST OF 20 YEARS "

Through the years // 2005 - 2025

San Glaser will be 20 next year and this will be duly celebrated! On March 29, 2025, San will record her new, sixth album live with an audience at the Birdland jazz club: a special kind of anniversary concert. San's personal "Best of 20 years", her songs from the 5 albums in new, exciting arrangements, with a great band consisting of Arnd Geise/b, Felix Dehmel/dr and Mischa Schumann/keys + some great surprise guests!

On stage, the singer and her musicians combine charm and nonchalance, bubbling energy and exploration, melancholy and longing - in short: musical magic and pure authenticity! The albums: Never In Vain, the artist's jazz/pop-style solo debut, was released in November 2005 to euphoric reviews. In collaboration with the New York singer songwriter, KJ Denhert, several songs were written for the album.

The second album, "New Road", followed in 2009. New Road spent several weeks at number 1 in the iTunes jazz charts and, like "Never In Vain" before it, received nationwide recognition from music critics. The third album, "Beautiful Stranger", followed in September 2014 and it was time for change. On her new album, San Glaser has boldly and tastefully expanded her musical spectrum. "In the end, of course, it is and remains jazz. But jazz with new friends. I simply take the liberty of sprinkling in rough edges now and again," says San Glaser. By new friends, she means singer/songwriters and folk nuances. A development that makes Beautiful Stranger sound lively and exciting. Dream start for "The Great Grand Hotel", her fourth solo album in 2018: The album went straight to number 1 in the Amazon jazz charts.

In 2023, after four albums of her own compositions, she will record her fifth - this time a cover - album for the first time: "The Other Side Of The San" contains compositions by Irving Berlin, Thelonious Monk and Stevie Wonder, among others.
